Characteristic
Soda ash, commonly known as soda, caustic soda, sodium carbonate and washing alkali, sodium carbonate containing ten crystal waters is colorless crystal, and the crystal water is unstable and easily weathered, and becomes white powder Na2CO3.
Strong electrolyte has salt permeability and thermal stability, is easily soluble in water, and its aqueous solution is alkaline.

Quality standards
Industrial soda ash (light soda ash, heavy soda ash) implements the standard of “Industrial Sodium Carbonate GB210.1-2004 Type II” issued by the People’s Republic of China, and the quality of products have reached the international advanced level.
Food soda ash implements the standard of “Food Additive Carbonic Acid GB1886-2008” issued by the People’s Republic of China.
Soda ash classification
According to the nature of classification: industrial grade soda ash and food grade soda ash, industrial grade soda ash is divided into light soda ash and heavy soda ash.
The essential difference between light soda ash and heavy soda ash is that the particle size is different, in layman’s terms, light soda ash is a powder and heavy soda ash is a small particle, which will not fly everywhere when used.
The general manufacturers use light soda ash because of the low cost of light soda ash, the general price difference in 50-100 yuan / ton, float glass manufacturers are using heavy soda ash, the reason is that heavy soda ash particles are large in the feeding will not fly everywhere, to extend the life of the furnace.
Classification according to the production process: ammonia and soda ash
Both ammonia and soda are basically national standards, but due to the different production processes, the quality of soda is generally lower than that of ammonia. The price difference is basically in the range of 100-200 RMB/tonne.
